RENAUD GARRETA

Born in Brest, Renaud Garreta was also a child from the Crozon peninsula, who discovered his passion for drawing at a very young age. He draws his first comic strip at the age of 7. Later, he took classes at the Ecole Supérieure d'Art Graphique and it was in 1987 that he worked as a roughman and storyboarder for advertising and cinema; notably on 'Immortal ad vitam' by Enki Bilal, 'Arthur et les Minimoys' by Luc Besson.
It was in 1996 that he launched into comics with 'Fox One', an aeronautical thriller which was very successful, then followed several series and albums of which he is also a screenwriter or co-screenwriter. He still works in parallel as an illustrator for advertising agencies and for the cinema.
This year, it is at Glénat that he released a new album. Surfer himself, he wanted to deal with the subject for a long time and his meeting with Alain Gardinier will give birth to ''Hippie Surf Satori''. Relevant album that makes you want to hit the road and travel in the 70s. A real headlong rush around the world, this book stands out for its exhilarating universe and its drawings of rare beauty.
